We meet on the corner of Cross Street and Hanover Street by Mother Anna's patio
Please arrive a few minutes early and plan ahead for weather and traffic conditions.

Tour ends within 1 block of the start point.

Q) How long is the tour?

The tour usually lasts between 2 and 2.5 hours and we walk for approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers), includes single flights of stairs. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this tour for guests with mobility challenges.

If you have a dinner reservations or other hard stop please let your guide know at the beginning of the tour.

Q) Can I take pictures on the tour?

Absolutely! Please just treat other photo takers the same way you wish to be treated. Your guide is happy to take your photo upon request.

Q) Is there parking?                                

Parking availability in Boston is very limited. If you must drive, parking is available at nearby garages or you may find discounted parking using services such as SpotHero. 

Q) Can I purchase tickets same day?

Tours sell out quickly so we recommend booking well in advance. Please check the calendar for availability and you may contact us at 617-744-9896 to see if there are any last minute cancellations.

Q) Can someone tag along for part of the tour and pay for their own drinks?

Unfortunately the North End has limited seating and we can only accommodate ticketed guests during the tour.

Only ticketed guests will be allowed to join any part of the tour.

Q) Do you have recommendations for post-tour activities?

Of course! We are happy to recommend post-tour activities, including dinner locations.

Reservations are strongly recommended as the North End is a very popular destination, especially on Friday and Saturday evening.

Q) What should I bring with me?

Please bring comfortable clothing with appropriate footwear for the weather, your ID, a camera, and cash.

The public tour is 21 plus as there is alcohol included on the public tour. The establishments we visit reserve the right to check IDs and may deny service without age verification.

There are many cash-only locations in the North End and tour guides greatly appreciate cash tips for excellent service.

In addition and if possible:

On hot days - extra water, sunscreen, and sunglasses and / or a hat

On cold days - extra layer(s) of clothing, gloves, and scarf

On rainy days - umbrella

Q) Do I need to bring ID?

If you have members of your party under 21 we may be able to accommodate your needs with a private tour.

Q) Should I bring cash?

Yes! While the tour does include food and drink, there are many cash-only locations in the North End if you wish to make additional purchases along the way. In addition, tour guides greatly appreciate cash tips for excellent service. 

Q) What do we do in case of inclement weather?

Tours run rain, shine, or snow. In bad weather we will do our best to remain indoors as much as possible along the way, but this is still an outdoor walking tour. Please remember to dress comfortably with appropriate footwear and plan accordingly, including additional time for transportation. In the unlikely event that we cancel a tour, we are happy to work with you to reschedule.

Q) Is gratuity included / should I tip my guide?

Server gratuity is included, TOUR GUIDE GRATUITY IS NOT INCLUDED in the purchase price. Our guides work hard to ensure an excellent experience and greatly appreciate gratuity / tips if you enjoyed your time. Typical gratuity is in line with the restaurant industry standards of 15% to 25% or more (if you really enjoyed your tour!).

Q) Is there alcohol on the tour / is the tour 21 plus?

Yes. The public tour is 21 plus as we include the alcohol on the public tour. If you have members of your party under 21 we may be able to accommodate your needs with a private tour.

Q) What if someone in my group has allergies or dietary restrictions?

Gluten free options are available. We are happy to accommodate dietary needs to the best of our ability, but please be aware not every location is completely allergen free and some tastings are fixed. The cannoli in particular are made in the kitchens containing nuts. If you have a specific questions or concerns, please contact us.

Q) Is there a waiting list for sold out tours?

Please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Q) Are there bathrooms available on the tour?

Yes. There will be opportunities to use the restroom at various stops throughout the tour, but it is recommended to use the restroom before the start of the tour if possible.

ABSOLUTELY!  We are happy to accommodate your family reunion, wedding, birthday, bachelor or bachelorette party, corporate events, college or graduate school, conventions, and more. We have extensive experience planning group events and are happy to work with you customizing a memorable experience. Please contact us for more details on private tours.

Q) What is the cancellation policy?

We unfortunately cannot offer refunds but we are happy to reschedule you for another future tour.
